Role Overview:

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.

This position is responsible to operate lowboy and maintain properly to transport material to designated location in a timely manner. This position will travel up to a 150-mile radius of Sioux City, IA.

The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM with Saturday as needed (usually 5 - 10 per season). Schedule may vary due to weather and customer demand.

Beginning pay $24.85, and up, depending on experience.

Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Pre and post trip inspections. Maintains driver logs when applicable.
  • Daily maintenance of equipment such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, brakes, lights and any other maintenance instructed to perform.
  • Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
  • Clean spilled material/buildup off box, belt, and gates.
  • Verify that gates are closed.
  • Discharge product.
  • Maintain proper information in truck cab pouch.
  • Report information accurately and completely on daily timecards, truck cab information and other needed paperwork.
  • Maintain and support a safe and harassment free work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
  • Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations.
  • Must be self-motivated, team-player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive attitude and act courteous and respectful toward others.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and recognize matters needing attention and initiate action on that recognition.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and the public.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Class A required. Hazmat and tanker endorsements, preferred.
  • Previous truck driving experience, preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
