Heavy Haul Transport Drivers Wanted

Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport, a family-owned business since 1960, proudly serves the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. We specialize in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage. Our team is committed to excellence, safety, and supporting our community.

Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking experienced Heavy Haul Transport Drivers to join our team! We're looking for Class A CDL drivers with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. This local/regional position involves hauling high, wide, and heavy loads using lowboy, Landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks.

We are hiring for the Tampa Bay area, Orlando, and ALL surrounding areas!!!!

Hired By May 31, 2026 SIGN-ON BONUS OF $2,500

Manual transmissions onlyno slip seating!

All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck.

Essential Functions

• Maneuver tractor and trailers into loading/unloading positions, following signals from crew and ensuring safe positioning
• Pull trailers configured with tow bars or goosenecks as needed
• Load and unload trucks, operate special loading equipment, and assist others as required
• Secure equipment for transport using ropes, chains, binders, etc.
• Operate multi-axle trailers for heavy equipment transport
• Use GPS mapping effectively
• Work in all weather conditions

Physical Requirements

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, frequent use of hands, bending, reaching, climbing
• Significant physical strength and stamina

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience required
• Current DOT Medical Card required
• TWIC Card (required within 30 days of hire)
• HAZMAT endorsement (required within 90 days of hire)
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
• Clean driving record (required for at least the last 3 years)
• MUST be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Experience with heavy equipment hauling required
• MUST be able to drive manual transmission trucks

Commission Pay:

• 25% Commission
  • Minimum pay guarantee offered
  • This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salary-paid position.
