Description: We are currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift Welder / Fitter for plate and structural fabrication work. $19.00- $23.00 ( $2.00 2nd shift differential) Basic knowledge of fitting plate, structural material and pipe utilizing shop drawings, specifications and travelers Use torches to cut/cope beams, cut/bevel plates and heat straighten parts Knowledge of fitting and welding various materials; carbon steel, stainless steel, inconel and aluminum Welding processes may include; Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Metal-cored Arc Welding (MCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Submerged Arc Weld (SAW) Perform welding in the flat, horizontal and vertical positions Produce consistent welds in accordance with shop drawings and customer specifications Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS) to set up welding machines and check weld sizes with company-issued weld gages Run overhead cranes and forklifts when necessary to move parts throughout the shop About Us Custom Engineering is a heavy fabrication, welding, and machine shop conveniently located less than a mile off the Bayfront Parkway on McClelland Ave. Our ability to complete complex jobs both long-run and short-run, top-of-the-line machinery, and outstanding quality allow us to serve many industries including oil & gas, construction, mining, transportation, power generation, and entertainment.
