EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY POSITION: Strength and Conditioning Coach (PT)
Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field; current CSCS (NSCA) or equivalent nationally recognized certification acceptable under NCAA Division II legislation; and current CPR/AED/First Aid certification are required. Must have excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently, as well as work successfully in a team environment. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations is a must. Must demonstrate respect for others in the workplace and a commitment to creating a supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Design and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for all assigned varsity sports.
- Develop year-round training plans that address strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility, endurance, and injury prevention.
- Supervise daily strength and conditioning sessions while ensuring proper exercise technique and safety protocols.
- Evaluate student-athlete performance through physical assessments and monitor progress using data-driven methods.
- Collaborate with head coaches to align strength and conditioning programs with sport-specific performance goals.
- Work closely with sports medicine staff regarding rehabilitation, return-to-play protocols, and injury prevention initiatives.
- Educate student-athletes on proper lifting techniques, recovery strategies, nutrition fundamentals, hydration, and overall wellness.
- Maintain accurate training records, testing results, and program documentation.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of the athletic department and institution.
- Promote and foster a supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics.
Hours of Employment: This position requires a flexible work schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Work is performed primarily in athletic training facilities, weight rooms, practice venues, and competition sites. The incumbent must be flexible enough with their hours to meet the needs of the team, department, and the University.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
