Popmenu Sales Development Summer Internship (NYC)

Join us for an immersive eight-week internship experience in the exciting world of SaaS and hospitality. As a Sales Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our sales team and learning how businesses connect with prospective clients in a high-growth environment.

In his role, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of outbound sales, prospecting, and client engagement. You’ll work alongside experienced Sales Professionals to learn how to identify opportunities, communicate value, and build early-stage relationships with restaurant operators.

Our ideal intern is curious, coachable, and excited to develop foundational sales skills. This internship is designed to challenge you while providing the training, support, and real-world experience needed to build confidence in a sales-driven role.

This internship is based in New York, with opportunities to participate in Atlanta-based internship programming via Zoom and collaborate with teams across the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the New York sales team in outbound prospecting efforts, including calls, emails, and research
  • Learn how to identify key decision-makers and build targeted prospect lists
  • Assist in generating interest in Popmenu by communicating our value to prospective clients
  • Shadow and gradually participate in outreach conversations with restaurant operators
  • Help schedule product demos for Account Executives by qualifying and routing interested prospects
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activity and client interactions
  • Collaborate with team members to refine messaging and improve outreach effectiveness
  • Participate in training sessions to develop sales, communication, and objection-handling skills

Requirements
