Position Overview The Project Manager provides overall leadership and accountability for commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a hands-on, results-driven leader who enjoys managing
diverse, fast-paced projects and collaborating closely with executives to align with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with Estimating during the preconstruction phase
- Interpret construction plans and specifications accurately
- Lead projects from start to finish, driving schedule, budget, and quality
- Mentor and guide junior project management staff
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to support repeat work and future opportunities
- Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement, including buyout, scope review, contract writing, and insurance/bonding compliance
- Resolve drawing conflicts and provide constructible solutions
- Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, owner billings, timesheets, and monthly project reports
- Ensure timely and accurate owner billings and subcontractor payments
- Prepare monthly cost projections and forecasts
- Oversee project schedules and provide consistent progress updates
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of building systems and construction methods
- Proven ability to manage projects independently from award through closeout
- Financially savvy with strong cost control and forecasting skills
- A proactive leader who can hit the ground running
