Job Description

Phlebotomist Every day, you will be part of a team that collects high‑quality plasma, turning donor support into life‑changing medicines. You will work in a plasma donation center, greeting donors, performing venipuncture, and operating plasmapheresis equipment. Responsibilities Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor. Perform venipuncture and program plasmapheresis machines. Monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions. Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within scope of training. Install, prime and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines. Stock supplies, break down empty cartons and assist with proper disposal. Take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and monitor electronic donor questionnaire system. Perform fingersticks, test sample, and record other donor measures such as hematocrit, total protein, and weight. Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS). Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system. Support center management in identifying operational improvement opportunities and implement changes through 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to walk/stand for entire shift. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees. Ability to lift up to 5lbs.; occasional lifting up to 32lbs. (rarely 50lbs.). Fine motor coordination, depth perception and hearing of equipment from a distance. Prolonged glove use due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level1). 90% of tasks require glove wear. At least 1year of experience in a customer‑ or patient‑facing role is helpful. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for this position.
