Job Overview Seeking a Part Time Medical Receptionist for Boston Children’s Health Physicians’ Pediatric Office in Garrison, NY. Schedule will be Monday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, Wednesday 10:00 am–6:00 pm, and Friday 9:00 am–5:00 pm. Pay rate $20/hr–$22/hr, negotiable based on experience. Organizational Duties and Responsibilities Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Boston Children's Health Physicians in its efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction. Demonstrate continuing education by completing all required annual trainings, as stated in the Training Curriculum, including but not limited to care coordination, population health management and self-management support techniques. Complete annual corporate compliance training. Understand and effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance and client confidentiality. Ensure and/or remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulation. Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities Office responsibilities. Verify all patient and family demographics. Verify all insurance information. Check the online pre‑visit registration through the Phreesia program, adding and/or correcting any information in the patient database. Follow‑up on any positive responses in the Coronavirus screening through Phreesia. Phreesia should also be checked at the end of the day to prepare for the next day's visits; incomplete registration and positive screenings should be dealt with at that time. Check the online payment of balances and copayments, and assist parents in making these payments at the time of the visit if not done prior to the visit. Assist new patients in completing the registration forms. Update all information in the patient's electronic record, including removing alerts that no longer apply. Assist patients in obtaining access to the Patient Portal for each child in the family. Manage referrals to specialists and insurance inquiries. Make appointments for future visits for patients as they exit. When necessary, assist in answering telephone calls, making and changing appointments. Experience with Electronic Medical Records is essential, and familiarity with the NextGen EMR is a plus. Position Requirements High school degree or equivalent required.
