Role Description The Legal Assistant Paralegal is a full-time, hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA (Buckhead), with some flexibility for work from home. This position supports attorneys in all stages of personal injury cases, including intake, organizing and maintaining case files, managing calendars and deadlines, and communicating with clients, coordinating with medical providers, and insurance representatives. Daily tasks include drafting and formatting legal documents and correspondence, preparing and filing pleadings, and assisting with discovery responses and document production. The role also involves reviewing records and other evidence, conducting basic legal and factual research, and helping prepare materials for depositions, mediation, and trial. The Legal Assistant Paralegal collaborates closely with the legal team to ensure efficient case management and high-quality client service. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of law related to civil litigation and Plaintiff's personal injury, with the ability to understand and follow legal procedures. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and commitment to client-centered service. Strong legal document preparation skills, including drafting, formatting, filing, and organizing pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence. Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, courts, and third parties by phone, email, and in writing. Attention to detail in document review, including identifying inconsistencies, summarizing records, and maintaining accurate case files. At least 4+ years of prior experience as a legal assistant/paralegal in a litigation or personal injury practice preferred. Proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and electronic filing systems (PeachCourt, Odyssey).
