The Office of General Counsel is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to provide clerical and legal office support within the Counsel Division. The Legal Assistant 2 with the Department of State supports essential legal work that keeps state operations organized and efficient. This role allows you to work closely with attorneys, prepare important documents, and ensure confidentiality. This role focuses on advanced legal assistant work, including drafting documents, processing filings, and supporting attorneys with complex procedures. You will help maintain compliance, confidentiality, and accuracy in all legal tasks. As a Legal Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after six months of employment. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
