Job Description
Pittsburgh area company is in need of an Inventory Control Associate. The selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of inventory control to include purchasing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Duties to include:
· Inspect the levels of components and raw material to identify shortages
· Ensure stock is adequate for all production department needs based on customer orders/forecast
· Analyze data to anticipate future needs
· Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
· Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
· Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
· Request for quotations and negotiate price for items to be ordered
· Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
· Report to production manager on stock levels, issues etc.
· Verify received inventory to specification and quality standards
· Fulfill all parts orders
· Make sure CRM system has all relevant information related to ongoing orders
· Collaborate to find ways to optimize inventory control procedures
Requirements:
· Previous like experience as inventory coordinator or similar
· Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
· Proficient MSOffice skills with ability to learn new software
· Working knowledge of inventory management software
· Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
· Strong analytical and excellent organizational/planning skills
· Professional verbal and written communication skills
· Bachelors degree in business administration, logistics or relevant field
