Walco Electric is seeking an experienced Industrial Electronic Controls Service Engineer to join our Automation and Controls team. You'll be working with a long-established, well respected, high technology company that specializes in the automation and upgrading of production control systems. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the candidate selected will perform field troubleshooting, including programming of control systems consisting of PLC's/HMI's/Motor Drives as well as start-ups and upgrades. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on programming experience, and the flexibility to support customers both on-site and remotely.

What You'll Do:

• Troubleshoot control systems in manufacturing environments
• Program and update PLCs, HMIs, and industrial drives (all major brands)
• Travel to customer and vendor sites as required
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with customers and vendors
• Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical controls troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience with strong knowledge of electronic control systems
• Experience with industrial drive systems (AC and DC) and motors
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming and modification
• Experience with industrial machinery controlled by drive systems
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and deliver accurate work efficiently
