Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Electronics Repair Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Charlotte, North Carolina .


Overview


This role involves working on all aspects of electronic equipment repair, focusing on small electronic assemblies and handheld devices, with a requirement for prior hands-on experience in similar repair environments.


Responsibilities

• Work on all aspects of electronic device repair, especially handheld repair.
• Use tweezers and work with very small parts during assembly and repair processes.
• Identify faulty parts and perform replacements as necessary.
• Support technical activities related to testing and maintenance of mechanical equipment and components.
• Order replacement parts as needed to support repair processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation supporting repair questions and answers, with a focus on qualifications on the resume.
• Work onsite during first shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in small electronic assembly or related repair work.
• Experience working with electronic assemblies and handheld devices.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Technical knowledge related to constructing, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment and components.
• Familiarity with identifying parts for replacement and placing orders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience completing an apprenticeship or formal training in electronics repair.
• Willingness to cross-train in related areas.
