Compliance Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Analyst to join our team for a 6+ month contract in Mountain View, CA. In this role, you will serve as an escalation point for questions arising during enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews, operationalize and standardize compliance policies, and ensure adherence to U.S. and international regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders and vendor partners, to streamline processes and ensure exceptional customer service. Additionally, you will work closely with audit and compliance monitoring teams to ensure that policies, procedures, and controls are properly adhered to.

Duties:

  • Act as the escalation point for any questions arising during enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews of newly onboarded institutional customers, existing customers triggering for EDD, and during Periodic Reviews.
  • Develop and standardize Compliance’s EDD policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with both U.S. and international regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to streamline processes and empower teams such as Customer Experience (CX) and IOS. Enhance relationships, gather feedback, and optimize CX operations for exceptional customer service delivery.
  • Work closely with the Audit and Compliance Monitoring & Testing teams to ensure adherence to controls and procedures, implementing necessary updates where gaps are identified.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external partners, ensuring organized, insightful, and clear messaging on compliance matters.
  • Leverage your understanding of workflows to analyze, report, and identify trends, issues, and quality defects in processes, providing actionable insights for improvement.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of U.S. and international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, 5MLD).
  • At least 4 years of experience in a related field, preferably in financial services, technology, or quality and training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory and compliance matters effectively.
  • Experience working with G Suite applications, as well as proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet the evolving needs of a fast-paced, high-growth organization, including managing work across different time zones.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with an eye for identifying process improvements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail in both communication and documentation.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
