Position Summary Create, uphold, and deliver communications content for Mercury One, The American Journey Experience, and The Nazarene Fund through writing, campaign development, design, branding, promotion, and storytelling. Implement messaging and branding aligned with the vision set forth by the Founder, Board of Directors, Executive Directors, and Communications Manager.
Essential functions Help facilitate external and internal communication for Mercury One
Assist with fundraising campaigns for Mercury One, The American Journey Experience, and The Nazarene Fund through copywriting and campaign creation
Assist with website development and content
Assist with email blasts and external communication to donors
Assist with communication to donors, partners, followers, and media through email, talking points, website, and additional communication content
Assist with brand management
Design flyers, graphics, and event material to promote all three organizations
Assist development team, social media team, and M1 team in launching fundraising campaigns
Drive messaging and communications to donors, including Newsletters, about all three organizations work and fundraising activities
Collaborate with all Departments on communication needs
Coordinate with Development and Finance Departments with campaign communications and set-ups
Create registration pages for Mercury One, AJE, and TNF events
Booth and represent all three organizations at partner events, conferences, museum experiences, ect.
Speak on and about all three organizations at external and internal events
Willing to work outside regular office hours when necessary
Willing to travel with Mercury One, The American Journey Experience, and The Nazarene Fund
Supervisory responsibilities if applicable: None Travel required if applicable: Periodically
Required Education and Experience - Bachelors degree or at minimum 3 years of communication/public relations experience
- Attention to details and accuracy
- Excellent problem solving, customer service, verbal, oral, written presentation skills
- Excellent with flexibility, adaptability, and multitasking.
- Design skills in Canva and InDesign
- Professional and excellent writing skills
- Basic website editing experience
- Basic media relations experience
- A self-motivator, team player, eager to grow and learn
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Flexibility to accommodate evolving goals
