Business Operations Specialist

AM Pierce & Associates and Applied Technologies Group (ATG), a woman-owned small business, is seeking a Business Operations Specialist, Senior, to provide support to BSO-11 (Budget Submitting Office) Business Offices.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Work Environment: On-Site

The successful candidate will work with BSO-11 clients to:

  • Examine/develop processes to support the accounting department to include new processes of Navy ERP.
  • Participate in working groups related to G-Invoicing, Budget Execution Valuation (BEV), FERMC (UMT, AP AR, IGTs, and Tie-Points).
  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Perform data analysis related to funding, month end close, year-end close.
  • Perform compilation and review of field level journal vouchers.
  • Review and reconcile monthly treasury reports when compared to the general ledger.
  • Understand the behavior and functionality of various general ledger accounts.
  • Review and analyze trial balances for pre-close and post-close analysis.
  • Review and research unmatched transactions.
  • Support other accounting duties as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent degree. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTIONS: Associate's degree with eight (8) years of experience.
  • Accounting, audit, and/or Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) experience.
  • Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) experience.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills to include performing financial analysis.
  • Self-Driven and efficient.
  • Detailed Oriented.
  • Analytical Skills.
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Works well on team projects.

Travel:

  • On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
