30 School St. Tilton, NH 03276 (603) 286-4342 Assistant Director of Athletics (full‑time, exempt) Position Summary Tilton School seeks an Assistant Athletic Director to provide support to the strategic leadership, daily operations, and long‑term growth of our athletic and afternoon programming. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletic Director will play a key role in supervising programs, managing personnel and logistics, overseeing athletics systems, and ensuring consistent communication, compliance, and excellence across all seasons. This position will also work in conjunction with another area of school life, to be determined by the Head of School. As a residential school, Tilton considers the work of faculty broadly, and we engage with students both during and beyond the academic day. Faculty at Tilton can expect to contribute two seasons in the co‑cohortral and/or athletic program, serve as a student advisor, and to be responsible for weekly evening and monthly weekend supervisory duties. This position could include housing. Key Responsibilities Athletic Operations and Logistics: Creating and maintaining games and practice schedules for our 20+ programs utilizing our facilities Maintaining the weekly transportation schedule for teams, ensuring proper transportation to and from events and coordinating with SAGE Dining to provide meals when teams have games Managing logistics of student enrollment in afternoon activities Managing afternoon programming attendance Maintaining Blackbaud and the Tilton School website by uploading rosters, game schedules, and results Working with Communications to manage videography and other technology aspects of game days on HUDL Student Life and Coaching: Coaching two to three seasons Serving as an advisor or co‑advisor to approximately eight students throughout the school year Serving as a Dorm Parent at least one night per week and one weekend every 4–5 weeks Participating in Student Experience Block (SEB) during the school day Representing Tilton School as the Game Day Administrator for home games Leadership and Engagement: Co‑advising the Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) which mentors leaders within the athletic programs Maintaining social media presence through X and Instagram by featuring game graphics and posting game‑day results Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Head of School and Director of Athletics The successful candidate will: Embrace an initiative‑driven faculty culture focused on advancing Tilton School’s mission Possess an understanding of current research and best practices related to adolescent development Possess a high degree of cultural competency and have demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and perspectives Demonstrate fluency with academic technology that advances learning for students and a willingness to integrate technology across school‑life experiences Enjoy collaborating with colleagues within and across subject areas, and all aspects of school life Invest in the community and participate in the lives of our students outside of the classroom Convey patience, empathy, enthusiasm, and optimism in work with adolescents and faculty Possess excellent interpersonal, communication (writing, listening, speaking), and organizational skills, and exhibit the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, and other employees Commit to self‑reflection, work independently, and pursue professional growth and networking opportunities that allow full engagement in discovering and implementing best practices in this role Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Required: Experience working with children in a sports environment To Apply Electronic materials only, please.
