Quality Assurance Analyst – Digital Accessibility Tester Hartford, CT (Hybrid) Contract – 6 Months About the Role We're looking for a Digital Accessibility Tester with strong hands‑on experience manually testing complex digital assets inclduing websites, apps, documents, enterprise platforms, mobile apps, chatbots, digital forms, authenticated systems, CMS integrations, and legacy technologies. You’ll develop test cases, maintain test libraries, identify accessibility issues, manage issue inventories, document remediation solutions, and guide internal and vendor teams toward compliance with WCAG, ADA, and Section508 standards. Your work will directly improve access to critical state services. What You’ll Do Conduct manual accessibility testing across a wide range of digital products and platforms Maintain organized testing data to drive focused remediation Support code review and help developers apply best‑practice fixes Audit current systems, build test cases, and evaluate new vendor products for compliance Document findings for benchmarking, gap analysis, and risk assessment Communicate results clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders Maintain test libraries, tooling, and reporting frameworks Mentor internal team members on accessibility standards and testing practices Stay current on WCAG, ADA, and Section508 changes and adapt testing practices accordingly What You Bring Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Web Development, Information Science, or HCI preferred) 3+ years of hands‑on digital accessibility testing experience 2+ years on a digital product team (as owner or contributor), working cross‑functionally Proficiency with assistive tech: NVDA, JAWS, Dragon, Fusion, Deque, Wave, ZoomText, VoiceOver, TalkBack, plus built‑in accessibility features (speech‑to‑text, magnifiers, alternative input devices) Strong HTML, ARIA, and semantic markup knowledge Experience auditing legacy and modern systems for accessibility issues Understanding of user‑centered design (UCD) methodologies Strong responsive web design knowledge Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical issues for non‑technical audiences Mentoring/coaching experience with other testers Nice to Have Experience with Axe, WebAIM, SiteImprove, Sitebulb, WAVE, ARC Toolkit IAAP (CPACC, WAS), PMP, DHS Trusted Tester, Deque University, or Section508 certification Agile project experience and strong project‑tracking skills Proficiency with MS Suite, Teams, Outlook, Zoom #J-18808-Ljbffr
